Summary
- We aim to collect as little data as possible. SurfaBeam is primarily an on-device creative tool.
- Your media stays on your device unless you choose to share/export it.
- Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store). We do not receive your full payment details.
- Optional analytics may be used to improve performance and reliability.
1) Information We Collect
A. Information you provide
- Support messages: If you contact us (e.g., by email), you may provide your name, email address, and message content.
- Feedback: You may share feature requests or bug reports.
B. Information collected automatically
- Device & app info: device model, OS version, app version, language, region, and basic diagnostics.
- Usage data (optional): interactions within the App (e.g., feature usage) to help us improve the App.
- Crash/Performance data (optional): crash logs and performance metrics to fix issues.
Note: If analytics or crash reporting is not enabled in your build, the related collection will not occur.
C. Media access (on-device)
SurfaBeam may request permission to access your Photos/Media Library so you can import images/videos for projection mapping. This access is used to let you select media from your device. We do not upload your photos/videos to our servers unless you explicitly choose to share them through your own services.
2) How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the App and its features (projection mapping workflows, media playback, and editing tools).
- To process and validate subscriptions/purchases through Apple’s App Store services.
- To improve stability, performance, and user experience (e.g., fixing bugs, reducing crashes).
- To respond to support requests and communicate with you.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3) Subscriptions & Purchases
If you purchase an auto-renewable subscription, payments are processed by Apple. Apple may collect and process billing information and purchase history under Apple’s policies. We may receive limited information such as subscription status (active/expired) to unlock features.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. “Restore Purchases” is available inside the App where required.
5) Third-Party Services
The App may use Apple services (e.g., App Store, StoreKit) and may optionally use third-party SDKs for analytics and crash reporting. These services may collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6) Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including providing support, meeting legal requirements, and resolving disputes. Diagnostic data is typically retained for a limited period to analyze and fix issues.
7) Security
We implement reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use the App responsibly and keep your device secured.
8) Your Rights & Choices
- Permissions: You can change app permissions in your device settings (e.g., Photos access).
- Opt-out of analytics (where available): If the App provides an analytics toggle, you can disable it.
- Access/Deletion: You may request access to or deletion of personal information we hold (typically limited to support communications).
9) Children’s Privacy
SurfaBeam is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us to request deletion.
10) International Users
If you use the App outside the country where COMPANY_NAME is located, your information may be processed in countries with different data protection laws. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards when required.
11) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
