ABOUT SURFABEAM
We build mobile projection mapping and video mapping tools for digital artists, creators, and event professionals. SurfaBeam Pro is a product of Homevism, built by the Secundum Reality team.
Our Mission
Projection mapping and video mapping used to require thousands of dollars in hardware, a powerful laptop, and specialized software with a steep learning curve. Our mission is to eliminate that barrier entirely and make digital mapping accessible from a phone.
SurfaBeam Pro puts professional-grade warping, masking, and multi-layer mapping into a single mobile app — so anyone with a smartphone and a projector can create stunning digital art and spatial visuals in minutes, not hours. It is a lightweight, mobile-first Lazy Lighting alternative for hands-on creators. See the full feature list or read our tutorials and guides.
Whether you are a DJ adding video mapping to a set, a homeowner projecting holiday scenes, a retail brand building an interactive window display, or a digital artist experimenting with light and texture — SurfaBeam Pro helps you create faster and iterate on-site, without being tethered to a laptop.
Our Expertise
Real-Time Graphics
Our team specializes in GPU-accelerated rendering, mesh transformation, and real-time compositing on mobile hardware. SurfaBeam's warping engine runs natively on device — no cloud processing, no lag.
Cross-Platform Parity
We build and maintain identical feature sets and an identical interface across iOS, Android, macOS and Windows, so you are never relearning the app when you move between machines. There is no cloud sync, so nothing moves between devices on its own — but Pro can export a project as a portable file and open it on another machine. Move your media across with it, because the project stores links to your clips rather than the clips themselves.
Event & Install Tested
SurfaBeam Pro is tested in live environments: clubs, pop-up events, holiday house displays, weddings, and professional installations. Our tutorials come from real-world experience, not theory.
Community-Driven
We build based on user feedback. Feature requests from event planners, VJs, digital artists, and DIY creators directly shape our roadmap and updates.
Who Writes the SurfaBeam Blog
Articles and tutorials on the SurfaBeam blog are written and fact-checked by the Secundum Reality team — the people who build and test SurfaBeam Pro. App comparisons are checked against current store listings and official documentation, and every workflow is verified in the app before publishing.
What Creators Say
"I used to haul a laptop, a media server, and a pile of cables to every gig. Now I just bring my phone and a projector. SurfaBeam Pro cut my setup time from 45 minutes to under 10."
"The mesh warping is surprisingly precise for a phone app. I mapped a curved pillar at a pop-up gallery and the alignment held perfectly through a 3-hour show."
"My kids went crazy for the Halloween singing pumpkins. I followed the SurfaBeam blog tutorial and had it running in 20 minutes. Best holiday project we've ever done."
