Official downloads — every platform, every store

DOWNLOAD SURFABEAM

Touch-native projection mapping for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android and Windows — free forever, with Pro when you need Save and Export.

Every link on this page goes to an official store listing or our own download server. Nothing else on the internet is us — more on that in the mod APK section below.

iPhone, iPad & Mac

One App Store listing covers all three. Download free on any Apple device; if you buy Pro on your iPhone, the same purchase unlocks it on your iPad and your Mac — you do not pay three times.

Pro on the App Store is sold monthly, quarterly, yearly, or as a one-time Lifetime unlock.

Android

Two listings on Google Play, both official, both free to install. SurfaBeam Pro is the main app — the free tier is the full toolset, and Pro is an in-app upgrade (monthly, quarterly, yearly, or one-time Lifetime).

The free edition is the permanently free build: watch a rewarded ad to open mapping, and the watermark stays on output. Searched for an APK? These two listings are the only official Android downloads.

Windows

Same app, three ways to install. The direct installer (v1.8) comes straight off our server. The Microsoft Store build keeps itself updated. On Steam the base app is free and Pro is a one-time DLC — buy it once, no subscription.

No trial, no expiry

Free vs Pro

The free tier is permanent. Here is exactly where the line sits, so you know what you are installing before you install it.

SurfaBeam Free

  • The complete mapping toolset — surfaces, warp, masking, media import, effects, camera-based tracking, music visualizers and the Timeline. Nothing creative is held back.
  • Free forever. Not a 7-day trial, not a demo — it never expires.
  • A watermark sits on projected and exported output.
  • An entry gate appears before mapping — on Android, watching a rewarded ad gets you through.
  • No Save, Load or Export — your scene lives only in the current session.

SurfaBeam Pro

  • Watermark removed from projection and exports.
  • Entry gate removed — straight into mapping.
  • Save and Load unlocked. "Save to Files" writes a portable Scene_<date>.json you can open on another machine — the scene stores links to your media, so move the clips along with it.
  • Export unlocked, including Map Export to PNG for touch-ups in Photoshop or After Effects.

How Pro is sold

App Store & Google Play: monthly, quarterly, yearly, or one-time Lifetime.
Steam: one-time Pro DLC — not a subscription.
Windows direct installer: Personal $3.99/month or $39.99/year; Commercial $499/year.

The honest answer

Is there a SurfaBeam mod APK?

No. There is no official SurfaBeam mod APK, no "Pro unlocked" build, and no APK we distribute outside Google Play. The Android app ships in exactly two places — the SurfaBeam Pro listing and the free edition listing — and every other link on this page goes to Apple, Microsoft, Valve or our own download server. That is the complete list. Anything else calling itself SurfaBeam was rebuilt by someone we have never met.

A "mod APK" is our app decompiled, altered and re-uploaded by a stranger, and you cannot audit what changed. Repackaged APKs are a standard delivery route for adware and credential-stealing malware, and a mapping app makes a comfortable host: it is normal for it to ask for your photo and video library, so a poisoned build gets that access without raising an eyebrow. Modded builds also die young — they cannot take updates through Play, so the first codec fix or pipeline change we ship leaves them stranded on a broken version that nobody maintains.

Here is why it is a bad trade even if a particular mod happened to be clean: the thing mods promise — Pro for free — mostly already exists. The free tier is permanent, not a trial. Full mapping, warp, masking, media import, effects, tracking, visualizers, Timeline. What you put up with is a watermark on output and an ad gate before mapping. So the actual offer of a mod is this: a watermark removed, in exchange for running unknown code with access to your entire camera roll. If the watermark genuinely matters to your work, that is what Pro is for — and if you searched "SurfaBeam Pro APK", the Pro listing on Google Play is the official one.

System Requirements

SurfaBeam runs on a recent Android version (the Play listing shows the exact minimum for the current build), current iOS and iPadOS, recent macOS, and Windows 10 and 11. Exact minimums shift as we update the media pipeline, so treat the store listing as the source of truth — each one shows the precise requirements for the build it is serving. As a rule of thumb, the heavier your clips are (resolution and bitrate), the more recent the device you will want, because decoding video and warping it live is the hard part of the job.

You will also need a projector — anything with an HDMI input works, and AirPlay or Chromecast covers wireless setups. If you are still choosing one, the FAQ explains ANSI lumens and throw ratio before you spend money on the wrong box.

Before you install — what SurfaBeam is not

SurfaBeam is single-projector software. It does not do multi-projector edge blending, DMX or Art-Net control, NDI/Syphon/Spout feeds, or true 3D-model projection. It is built for mapping real surfaces — walls, props, pumpkins, facades one projector can cover — from a device you already own. If your show needs blending across three projectors and a lighting desk, a desktop rig like MadMapper or Resolume is the right tool, and we would rather tell you that now than after you have installed.

Pick A Store, Start Mapping

Install free on whichever device is closest, point it at a wall, and see whether this is your kind of tool before spending anything. The projector can wait — the app can't get any cheaper than it already is.
